Social Media Leaders Teach Companies How to Reach New Customers Using Social Media Tools
WITI, the leading professional organization for tech-savvy women will truly inspire "Innovation, Collaboration and Reinvention" through hands on social media learning experiences at its Women and Technology 20th Anniversary Summit.
A message from its Founder, Carolyn Creighton...
...On June 14th through 16th, some of the most influential leadersin technology 1.0 and 2.0 will converge at the WITI Summit to teach us how they have successfully leveraged Social Media tools to better (and less expensively) reach new customers and generate revenue while deepening relationships with existing clients. I have spent the last 3 months talking to several amazing leaders in technology about Social media and how it is revolutionizing the way individuals to giant corporations are building their brands, launching products – the list is endless! Twitter originally started as something for news people to create audiences for them to follow. Facebook was started for college kids. Both Twitter and Facebook are now being used as business tools. Smartpeople are figuring out how to take this technology and customize it to give them competitive advantages.
This year WITI is changing the Summit format to provide two days of HANDS ON Social Media training during the WITI Social Media Café – presented byleaders who have used these tools for their own success, their client'ssuccess, their organization's success. What makes these new tools so exciting to me is their ability to empower those of us who don't have access to huge pools of capital. It gives smaller companies and start-ups the opportunity to take a great idea and reach millions of people within a fraction of the time and cost required through traditional marketing/advertising streams.
Because we are at the infant stages of this revolution, so many of us do not realize the power these tools hold for building and transforming an unknown product or reinvigorating an established brand and catapulting itto be “highly sought after” in a few months instead of years it would otherwise take using the more traditional brand building platforms. We know talking about it is not enough – everyone at the this years WITI Summit will be working on their laptop, getting hands on training from the experts at the Social Media Café so YOU can walk into YOUR office the dayafter the conference ready to be part of this revolution and not be left behind!
